Is it really that time of the year again? Wow it has gone fast. In my industry we’re seeing some amazing and exciting changes. Here are some of the facts I picked up this year that made me go WT…..

• $1 trillion worth of transactions processed by Xero in the 12 months to July 2016. $1 trillion! And while they were doing that they also released 1400 product updates and enhancements in 12 months

• Every month, over 1 billion people around the world communicate with friends, families and over 50 million businesses on Facebook Messenger, interacting with customers, keeping them up-to-date.

• I’m amazed that I can watch the six o’clock news on my iPhone when I choose

• I surprised myself and along with my rowing buddies took out the South Island title for the novice master’s coxless quad and double at the South Island Rowing Masters in June. We set out not to come last. We totally outdid our expectations and it really proved to me the power of the mind.
It has been a rollercoaster ride over the past 12 months and after a very quiet winter we have hit the end of the year and we’re finding ourselves really busy. It’s great to see some confidence coming back to Mid Canterbury.
