Online invoices

Online invoices have many advantages. They save time, they’re cost efficient, and you can create and check them anytime and from anywhere.

With online invoices you can attach files to send with your invoice and include a PDF copy. If your client clicks on the view your bill online link Xero will automatically date stamp the invoice so you will know on what time and date the invoice was opened and read.

In the example below we can see what your customer will see when they open their invoice.

They can pay now using Payment Services and email questions about the bill (more on this later).

The best part is now that the invoice has been opened online we can tell from the invoices awaiting payment screen that our customer has viewed the invoice. Better still if we check out the notes within the invoice (this is automatically recorded by Xero) we can see on what day and at what time the opened it.
