Xero Files overview

Now you know how to use files in Xero and as you can see it’s really easy and can make life a lot less stressful. It’s all free and included in your Xero subscription and remember that the average small business can comfortably store around 9 years’ worth of documents!

What are the advantages of using the file library?
It is super easy to find source documents and you can have them in more than one location within Xero. Imagine not having to hunt through screeds of paperwork trying to find that one piece of paper.

Your accountant will love you – they will be able to see a copy of the original document and you won’t need to lug anything to them at the end of the year. It may even save them some time too.

You could save on stationery and consumables by keeping your documents electronically.

What are some of the things you need to consider?
Name your files and folders in a manner that makes it easy for you to find your documents.
